To be considered for membership in LEBC, prospective members should be professionals working substantially (at least 30% of the time) in the field of employee benefits. Currently, our membership is 238 strong and comprised of 68 benefits managers, 42 legal members (attorneys & paralegals), 36 benefits consultants, 29 insurance agents, 13 plan administrators, 6 actuaries, 8 accountants, 21 trust institution employees, 9 investment advisors and 6 life members.

Letter From the President

Dear Council Member:

The Louisville Employee Benefits Council is a unique organization comprised of a variety of benefits professionals. The Council was formed in 1959 and its purpose is to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among employee benefit professionals. One privilege of membership in the LEBC is access to the Membership Directory. Please note that our by-laws provide that the Directory "shall not be disclosed to persons or entities that are not members of the Council and shall not be used for solicitation of business." Second, our tax exempt status prohibits lobbying.

The tremendous support of the membership as well as the time and talent devoted by our Program and Executive Committees enable the Council to secure both local and nationally renowned speakers for our monthly meetings. Over the past year our organization has shifted to a new format to allow members more networking time and to provide more opportunities for continuing education credits.

The Executive Committee welcomes your comments and suggestions. As the 2008 President, I urge you to attend as many events as possible and become actively involved in your Louisville Employee Benefits Council.

Joining is easy! To download an LEBC Membership Application, choose the PDF document link in the side navagation bar. The appliction may be completed online, but not submitted online. Once complete, print a hard copy and submit by mail along with your check for membership dues to the LEBC at P.O. Box 70181, Louisville, KY 40270-0181. Membership dues are $275 annually.
